On September 21, for the International Day of Peace, Modo Yoga is hosting a special class on Lachine Canal, at Madeleine-Parent Park. Join Nicole & DJmh for only 5$ and make a difference! Find your inner peace and change your outer world.
All the funds collected during this class will go to Amnesty International Canada.
These special boob/bottle/diaper/crying-friendly yoga classes will be offered to moms of all fitness levels – with or without yoga experience – and their babies until they are crawling. Gradually regain your mobility and independence following the drastic changes that occur during pregnancy and birth! We’ll focus on retraining muscles, reducing stress levels, embracing and rehabilitating our mummy tummies and bonding with our babes. Plus, getting out of the house and talking to other mamas! #ittakesavillage
WHAT TO BRING
Your lovely self and lovely babe, both in comfy clothes; a water bottle; your yoga mat (or rent one for $2), a swaddle or blanket for baby to lie on. Optional: Anything you regularly bring with you for your babe (diapers, toys, snacks, carrier, etc.); a towel; anything else you need to make your practice comfortable.

Come work with a partner in therapeutic, strengthening and acrobatic combinations. Vanessa places great emphasis on communication and interaction between partners. The workshop is open to all levels. We will explore variations, so that each students can challenge themselves at their own level. Bring a partner or simply bring yourself.

In this 2-hour workshop find out what mindfulness is and how you can use these ancient practices to relax, focus and thrive. You will learn the roots of mindfulness which have helped thousands of people live more centred and happy lives. You will learn to cultivate somatic attention to rest in mental states that increase empathy, compassion and concentration, meet difficult emotional states with understanding and compassion, recognize stress and learn how to disarm it through mindfulness, and strengthen your capacity to live emotionally resilient.

Energy Exchangers (EE’s) are an integral part of our studio family – their passion and dedication is what makes our community so special. In exchange for working one 3.5 hour shift per week cleaning the studio, EE’s will receive unlimited yoga and lots of other perks!
