This November we have a new challenge lined up for you: Sweat for the Jungle! Step on your mat to make a difference that ripples out into the world. Sign up for the Challenge and $20 of your registration fee will go to Junglekeepers, to protect the world’s largest rainforest, the Amazon. For 30 days, sweat with a purpose: individual actions can have far-reaching effects.
For this Challenge, we will breathe, move and restore with consciousness of the environment that sustains us. Each week has a focus: breath, alignment, flow and restoration, with special classes and workshops throughout the month highlighting these themes.
By signing up for the challenge, you help raise funds to hire Junglekeepers Rangers who protect the Amazon from illegal mining, logging, agriculture and poaching in south-eastern Peru, in the Madre de Dios region along the Las Piedras river. There is nothing more effective in the fight against climate change than protecting this ancient forest, as it contributes to restoring and protecting the atmosphere from the harmful effects of burning coal and other carbon-dioxide-producing industries.
It only takes 35 people joining the challenge at each studio to pay for a Ranger’s monthly salary. The more who join the challenge, the longer we can continue to protect this valuable land.

On this Taurus Full Moon, join Kimiko + Eliza Moore for a magical class of storytelling, meditation, and soothing yin/yang yoga flow class. We will begin with breathwork and yin yoga to open the pathways of the body to explore and unlock physical and emotional tension. After we will build strength and openness with yang infused backbend series. Enjoy the live music of Eliza Moore’s euphoric voice and violin, while Kimiko guides you through a journey back to the home of your heart. Full Moon’s are ripe with the potential for deep healing, cleansing, and manifestation. We will use crystals, oracles, and mantras to awaken your intuitive wisdom.
So often we think of inversion postures as things we either can or can’t do. Dee propose that there is a continuum along which we are learning to go upside down gradually – and the benefits of upside-down-ness can be felt at each stage! Don’t let the fact that you’ve never perfectly gotten upside down before hold you back! We’ll start off with variations of downward facing dog, proceeding via multiple prop-supported baby inversions, possibly ending up in a free-standing bound headstand (we will not tripod headstand in this workshop!).
with Lana & Sara Anchor your mind, harness your breath and ride the waves of possibility with Lana and Sara in Chacala, Mexico at Mar de Jade. Mar de Jade provides students the background for authentic conversations, quality time, nourishing food and supportive rest. Build your morning fire with a daily vinyasa practice and chill-ax your mind with active restorative, yin and wall yoga in the afternoon! The Giving Tree is back! Once again this year, we are partnering with Carolyn’s Toy Drive to collect gifts for children in need.
How do you participate? As of November 18, you will be able to pick a label from the tree (this will give you the details of the child for whom you are buying a gift, for example, a 3-year-old girl who speaks English). Buy the gift, put it in a bag to which you have attached the label and bring it back to the studio before December 1st.
We are proud to present Blissful Fridays once again this year! Every Friday from November 22 to December 20, bring $5 worth or more of non-perishable food and join the 1:30 pm Community Class for free!
Our goal is to transform the Black Friday shopping phenomenon into a generosity-filled community initiative! All your donations will go to our Share the Warmth!

Come work with a partner in therapeutic, strengthening and acrobatic combinations. Vanessa places great emphasis on communication and interaction between partners. The workshop is open to all levels. We will explore variations, so that each students can challenge themselves at their own level. Bring a partner or simply bring yourself.
On December 1, the Modo Yoga studios of Montreal, NDG, West Island & Griffintown are opening their doors to offer you $5 classes all weekend long. All proceeds will be donated to local food banks.

Join seasoned (but non-judgy) vegans Dee and Vanessa for a community plant-based potluck! Whether you’re a long-time vegan or a meat-lover looking for ideas for the occasional Meatless Monday meal, let’s share some lentils!!! Did you know that eating less animal products is one of the best ways to help curb climate change? It’s also an expression of ahimsa, one of yoga’s most foundational philosophies. It means “non-harming” … of animals, of the planet … and of ourselves! (Yup – the health benefits are too numerous to list!) By sharing tasty, creative and healthy recipes, we are hoping to encourage more plant-based foods in your life, regardless of whether or not you’re vegan.
Bring an entirely plant-based meal (i.e. without meat, cheese, eggs, butter etc.) that doesn’t require any heating, with serving implements and the ingredients hand-written on a piece of paper. If it’s an internet recipe, you can add the name of the blog/recipe for others to try! We provide: Beverages, plates & cutlery, good vibes.
